Reef Health Monitoring in Raja Ampat MPA Network

Raja Ampat has been known as the centre of marine biodiversity particularly for reef fish and corals. It is located in the Papuan bird's head peninsula. A Marine Protected Area (MPA) Network, consisting of 6 MPAs, has been developed in Raja Ampat Regency by the local government and NGOs such as Conservation International Indonesia and The Nature Conservancy.

In early 2014, Conservation International Indonesia conducted a reef health monitoring in 4 MPAs in northern Raja Ampat Regency to assess the performance of MPA Network. A film is made to show a different perspective of conserving marine ecosystem from science and monitoring program.
